FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MICHAEL SCOTT (Rocky Comfort Records)
RIDES/PERFORMS IN AMERICAN VETERANS' HONOR
NASHVILLE, Tennessee (October 28, 2008)-Michael Scott (Rocky Comfort Records) has been invited to ride in and perform at the Phantom Fender Bike Safety Rally and Concert scheduled to take place on Friday, November 7, in Fort Hood, Texas.
The Phantom Fender Bike Safety Rally and Concert is being held in recognition of Veteran's Day (November 11). Although the event is open to the public, special invitations have been extended to military personnel and special celebrity guests to ride--2,000 participants are expected.
Scott, who just released his new single (entitled "Ray Ray's Juke Joint") to country radio and has been out on the road to promote it, will ride his own Harley Davidson Fat Boy on the four-hour trek that will cover central Texas and stop at the Central Texas Memorial Cemetery.
"I think very highly of our military personnel. Whether your personal political choice is for or against the war, the most important choice is to show care, and support our fellow Americans who are just doing their jobs to protect us," Michael Scott said. "We have lost many in this war and in past battles. When I received the phone call from General Rick Lynch, I felt honored. I will gladly ride in this ride and perform; it means a lot to me to recognize and remember our American warriors and veterans."
To close out the day, Michael Scott will headline the evening concert at the Fort Hood Military Base; he will perform in a 90-minute show. As part of the set-list, he will introduce songs from his debut CD [BRING IT ON] including "Bring It On," "I Call It Livin'," and "Neverland."
Scott has just returned from visiting the troops at the Warrior Transition Center in Hawaii where he performed for the Schofield Barracks/25th Infantry Division.
